Today, we received the Williamson County home sales statistics for November 2009. In a press release from the Williamson County Asociation of Realtors (WCAR), it is reported that 238 residential homes and condominiums were sold during this month in Williamson County, including Brentwood, Franklin, Spring Hill. This is great news since there were only 145 residential and condominium closings in November of 2008.
Though the number of residential home sales has increased by 62%, the median prices for residential homes have decreased by 12%. Condominiums, however, have experienced an 87% increase in the number of sales as well as a price increase of 27%.

With the extension and expansion of the Homebuyers Tax credit, we expect that the winter closings will be higher than in the few years past as existing homeowners and new buyers rush to take advantage of the credit before April.
